Story Behind the Sale
The owners were planning to live in the property during the sale process, so we’ve done what we refer to as Integrated Staging (incorporating some of the homeowners’ existing furniture into our styling). At the time of the consultation, we’ve noticed that their home has lots of elements of Balinese interior design, which is mostly dark timbers. Our goal was to brighten it up without taking away that resort-style feel.

Living Room
For the living area, we’ve brought in neutral-coloured furniture to brighten up the space, with a dark coffee table to match the client’s existing furniture in other rooms. This way we’ve secured the best of both worlds – continuity of style as well as increased lightness. The colour green is often associated with nature, which makes it the perfect colour for Resort Style. Adding in pops of pink softens the look and creates a unique, visually interesting finish.

Master Bedroom
The master bedroom is the first room you see when you walk in to the house, so we wanted to create a grand first impression. The room itself was quite long, which means there was a lot of unused space. Too much empty space can make the room look bland and underwhelming, so in order to avoid this, our goal was to optically lengthen the size of the bed. Bringing in a large floor rug and a bed bench did the trick, and we finished off the look with an armchair in the corner.
