Family Photos To start off with something simple, store away all family and personal photos. You want potential buyers to imagine themselves living in your house, family photos distract from this & are a little too personal. Be sure to remove everything from the fridge as well (the kids drawings included). Behind Closed Doors Occasionally you will get potential buyers at your opens that like to thoroughly check every part of the house, including linen closets and wardrobes. Prior to your first inspection make sure you re fold the items in your linen closet. This doesn’t mean you need to completely clear out all your belongings from every closet, but keep wardrobes neat with hanging clothes and well folded items. The Smell Before your open home try baking some cookies. Why? Because who doesn’t love the smell of freshly baked cookies? Doing this can also make your house feel more like a home. Using incense can sometimes throw people off because we all have a different sense of smell. If someone doesn’t like the scent you choose for your open homes it may ruin the whole house for them. Plants & Greenery Having greenery and flowers displayed through your home gives a lovely fresh feeling and can brighten up a room. They don’t have to be real because we all know they don’t last too long. As a bonus, you can buy some amazing artificial plants and flowers that you can take with you to your new home. Places such as Freedom, Adairs and Villa 9 have some amazing artificial plants and flowers. Thanks for reading! Images courtesy of:
