The 2025 Australian Home Staging Conference has wrapped up, and if this year’s event is anything to go by, the industry is in for an exciting future. From a jam-packed workshop day to insightful discussions on leadership, competition, and pricing, the conference delivered plenty of value to home staging professionals.

Let’s break down the highlights, key takeaways, and areas for improvement (from our point of view) as we reflect on this year’s event.

This year, we introduced our first-ever exclusive workshop day before the main conference, and it turned out to be a major success. Unlike the general conference sessions, the workshop day was designed to be highly tactical and business-focused, offering attendees a deep dive into industry-specific challenges.

✔ Practical, hands-on learning – The sessions were structured to provide real, implementable strategies in marketing, supply chain and knowing your business numbers.

✔ A focus on problem-solving – Rather than just discussing theories, we tackled real business issues with actionable solutions.

We had an overwhelming amount of positive feedback. Attendees loved the opportunity to engage with the organizers, learn from each other, and walk away with clear, actionable takeaways they could implement immediately.

Industry events are great for meeting people, but this year’s resort-style venue took networking to the next level. The more relaxed setting meant attendees naturally mingled, shared experiences, and built stronger connections—something that can be tricky in a more formal conference setting.

Many commented on how much easier it felt to connect with other attendees, and compared to last year, it was clear that the setting made a real difference.

Common Challenges & Conversations

One of the biggest takeaways from the networking this year? We’re all facing the same challenges—just at different points along the journey.

After countless conversations over coffee, lunch, and social events, a common theme emerged: pricing struggles, staffing headaches, competition pressure, and leadership challenges. No matter the size of the business, everyone seemed to be navigating similar hurdles.

✔ Pricing: How do you charge what you’re worth while staying competitive?

✔ Staffing: Finding (and keeping) great team members in a growing industry.

✔ Competition: Standing out in a market that’s more crowded than ever.

✔ Leadership: Balancing creative expertise with strong business skills.

This realisation—that no one is alone in these struggles—was refreshing. Being able to swap stories, strategies, and support with industry peers was one of the most valuable aspects of the conference.

With growing attendance, better networking opportunities, and a commitment to delivering valuable content, we are doing our very best to solidify the Australian Home Staging Conference as a must-attend event for those in the industry.

We are already planning for next year, and Southeast Queensland will remain the home of the event. We can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store!
