The client wanted something bold, colourful, and full of personality, so we got to have a bit of fun with some of our more unique pieces. Even though most of our stock leans more on the versatile side, this brief called for something a little more out there, and senior stylist Georgia absolutely nailed it. The result was big, dynamic, and full of impact, with great feedback from both the client and everyone who saw it.

Shoes stay on, not because we’re being disrespectful, but because it is a workplace health and safety requirement.

If someone mentions freshly polished floors, use that as your cue to pivot. Talk about felt pads, protecting surfaces, and how we leave things just as clean as we found them.

Sage, warm neutrals and a hint of gold. Styling to sell is about more than looks. It’s about creating that instant emotional pull – the kind that turns a house into a lifestyle buyers can see themselves in.

We make sure artwork enhances the space rather than overwhelming it. It should be visible from key viewpoints like the front door but not placed near distractions like TVs or narrow hallways where it can make the space feel cluttered.

Size makes a statement. Large walls and high ceilings call for bold, oversized pieces to fill the space effectively. In smaller areas or above furniture like sofas and buffets, we opt for more proportionate artwork, ensuring it complements rather than dominates the room.

Colour ties everything together. Artwork should work with the home’s existing colour palette, creating a seamless flow from room to room. If there is a hint of green in the walls, we bring in natural tones to enhance it. A beige or cream-based scheme welcomes warm hues like blue, burgundy, or coral, while a grey-based palette pairs best with monochrome tones or accents like rust and light blue. The key is to never mix beige and grey. These two have different undertones that do not harmonise well in photos.

When done right, artwork transforms a space, making it feel polished, cohesive, and ready to impress buyers. It is about more than just filling empty walls. It is about creating a home that feels inviting and thoughtfully styled.
