Coastal Style

With its high ceilings and white walls, this Queenslander provided a blank slate for us to use our creative sides! Whilst a cosmetic reno had been done, the home retained its original features including timber kitchen and VJ panelling, so a modern twist wasn’t really suited to this home. Instead we went with a coast feel, a theme perfect for a Queenslander with its large rooms and airy feel.

We went with cream and beige furniture and complemented it with a colour combination of blues and whites. Cane and wicker made a feature in most rooms, fantastic for its natural and soft feel. Bedrooms were also nautically themed, using a combination of navys, naturals and seagrass lamps.

We focussed on making the downstairs area feel larger but were treated to oversized outdoor spaces. The end result was a light, bright home with a homely, modern feel that photographed beautifully.
